US ARMY M151A1 MUTT JEEP VIETNAM ERA 1965 :
$1000.00

Update 9-14-14 OK I pulled the tranny out.  The gears were rusty and won\'t turn,  needs to be torn apart and cleaned and rebuilt or just replaced, as they are easy to get.  I will not be putting it back in, I will just put it all in a box and put it in the back.  Now that the tranny is out, I confirmed that the engine turns freely so there should not be to many problems with it. While I was underneath though I spotted a small rusted through spot on the drivers side wheel well. Due to all of these problems I am going to lower the price a bit from what I originally listed it for. US Army M151A1 MUTT Military Utility Tactical Truck. 1965. This is an original A1, not an M151 or and A2. Does not currently run, although it should. The engine is not locked up, still has oil in it, all parts are there. The tranny will not move between the gears, not sure why, maybe just rusted into place from being outside. Not cut or quartered, not welded back together. The ORD # is 8754458. BUDD S/N #48784. This has NO data plates at all except for the ORD number plate inside the hood on the top of the firewall.NO TITLE or registration. The buyer will receive a State of California official bill of sale, not just some piece of paper saying you bought it from me.The last time this was driven was in 1998 according to the previous owners family. It has never been registered. This was used by the owner for many years doing the Rubicon River Jeepster club run from Georgetown to Lake Tahoe. That explains why it is so beat up. The front grill is missing. Some of the connecting arms for the steering is missing, The gas tank actually still appears to have fuel of some sort in it, more like lacquer now but it preserved it, so that is all that matters. The body has been beat up and seriously abused. The good thing though is that it is a true California car, so there are no rust areas, no body cancer, the only thing is surface rust. The underside is in great shape, as are the floor pans and bed, just dented. I do not know the status of the electrical system. Looks to still be all 24 volt. No batteries in it. Missing various gauges, knobs, etc. Has the original front two seats, no back seat. Windshield is broken, but still there. No spare tire. All tires do hold air, but not in great shape. Original rims. The hood is not original to the Jeep, it is marked USMC, but the Jeep is an Army Jeep. If the bumper numbers are original, then it belonged to the Battalion Commander for 1/184 Infantry, (HQ-6) 40th Infantry Division (California National Guard). This is a prime candidate for a restoration, if you can fix the dents and get it running.Located between Fresno and Yosemite National Park in Coarsegold, CA.
