For sale here is a stunning US M1881 Cavalry Pith Helmet. The Helmet is in extremely fine condition as pictured, and i can find no mothing, cracking, or other issues to note. The Helmet is complete with yellow horse hair plume, front plate and buttons. The leather sweatband of the helmet is very nice and folds up to show a makers mark of W.H. Horstmann Co. March 1898? Unfortunately, the golden braids are missing, but the hat is premier and will be the centerpiece of most collections. You will be pleased!
