You will receive a digital scan (PDF) of the official history, along with a printed transcript, listing date of acceptance by the Navy, purchase price, dates of trials and service, dates of each assignment to naval vessels and facilities, names of ships it sailed on, and often records of comparisons for error and rate of the chronometer, showing six-month trials with daily rates of gaining or losing. Most chronometer records are one to 3 pages in length. This is a specific report pulled by an archival researcher from unpublished archival chronometer logs. Please allow up to five business days for processing of your order. Nothing enhances the value of a marine chronometer like the record of its provenance.
