This clock is an extremely high quality and exceptionally rare antique victorian 2 train English miniature skeleton clock made in approx 1850. It screams quality throughout and has all the features one wants to see in a high end english skeleton clock and only measures 4 Inches high including dome which is quite incredible. I have never ever seen anything like it. It is hard to beleive you can get so much quality in such a small item. This is certainly an extremely rare clock and one for the serious collection or a super investment peiceThe clock has a five pillar construction to movement with superb 5 spoke crossings to centre of all wheels with a tic tac escapement with jewelled ruby pallets and also jewelled ruby endstones to each end of the anchor pivets. It even has a removable pendulum which measures only 2.5 inches in total quite extraordinary. The clock is complimented by its original ebonised wooden base and original tiny glass oval dome cover and the quality and thickness to brass plates is second to none driven by 2 main springs. The quality to the wheelwork and pinions is quite unbeleivable you really have got to see it in the flesh to appreciate it fullyEverything to the clock is totally original with nothing been messed about with and is one for the serious collectionThe clock features a high quality silvered dial with engraved roman numerals and original hands. The dial is in great condition however some of the silvering has worn but can easily be resilvered but i have left it exactly how it has come to meThe movement has a 5 pillar construction. The movement is driven by 2 mainsprings one either side which run the timepiece with a tic tac escapement and 5 spoke crossings to wheels ruby jewelled pallets to anchor and ruby jewelled endstones to pivots.
