VERY RARE ORIGINAL JAPANESE WW2 TRENCH PERISCOPE BINOCULARS TRIPOD WITH CASE:

Rare Japanese WWII Optics Tripod is in full working order and maintainsan original wartime leather carry case (w/cut strap end which is missing). Tripod is very well marked with WWII Japanese manufacturer and Japanese inspection characters. Tripod is very heavy and entirely original and is fully functional in all respects. Inside the closed leather case, the tripod is approx. 25\" inches overall height in the case. Tripods 3 legs extend from approx. 24\" inches to near 50\" inches. We don\'t see any serial number on the tripod. All tripod functions are in proper working condition. Tripod was found inside this leather case at a local estate. We don\'t see any markings on the leather case. Part of the cut case strap is missing, as found (see pictures). Tripod mounting shaft measures 40mm tall by 16mm across.Tripod is painted with the same Japanese ordnance tan/brown paint as found on original Japanese WW2 helmets. All of the original parts seem to be installed on the tripod with exception of one round nut and its center hold down screw for that missing nut; would have been installed on one of the six large wing nuts to tighten down leg extension (see last picture). All six large wing nuts themselves are in-place, working properly, and tightenthe 3-legs tripod height adjustment properly. Tripod will fit a Japanese Artillery Spotting 8 x 6.2 Trench Periscope (scope) exactly correct. We are not certain what other Japanese wartime optics, spotting scope,or binocularswould fit on this tripod. The top internal ball mount swivels and adjusts properly to level the tripod shaft properlywhen using tripod on uneven ground.
