Originally named New Martinsville and renamed Viking in 1944, this American glass company is famous for its beautiful vases, especially those made in spin molds that produced a wonderful \"spiked\" top. This is model #6960, which debuted in 1969 and was highly popular in the 1970s.

This vase is large and weighty, measuring 8 inches at the tallest point, and 5 inches at the widest.The base is 3 inches across. This vas can easily handle large flower arrangements.Textured Green Glass that looks like Privacy Glass and has a texture on the outside but is smooth on the inside.

There is no maker\'s mark, as Viking used stickers on their products (and that is long gone). There are some air bubbles in the glass, Those are naturally-occuring in much art glass.This vase has no chips or cracks, and is in pristine vintage condition.This would be a great gift or a nice collection.
