Cool early 1940\'s Vintage Pre- WWII MARXchild\'s metal helmet with the blue\"Fighting Squadron\" Eagle Insignia on the front of helmet.Made in the U.S.A. by Marx Toy Co..Original silver colored metal helmet that still retains the wool liner pad on the inside of the helmet. The chinstrap isripped off on one side with the other side still intact. the ventilation holes are original to the helmet. Small dent on top of helmet and some wear to metal, but nothing bad in my opinion (SEE PHOTOS).
The helmets actually predate the war. When restrictions were placed on the use of metal in the making of toys, Marx was permitted to sell the remaining helmets in inventory.
