Vintage 1950s-1960\'s Delightful Authentic Japanese Kimono by Shirokiya Made in JapanBeautiful condition! This authentic kimono was purchased in Japan by a military family in the late 1950\'s, early 1960\'s. It remained in the original family until we recently acquired it from a family estate off the Central Coast of California.The kimono is in absolutley beautiful condition! The material is a heavy sturdy material and the lining is soft and silky. The detail and colors are lovely - pictures don\'t do it justice. Bright orange with gold and sage green and steel blue. There is a knot and a slit found on each side of the bottom, and pockets on each side. We found a small \'snag\' or imperfection on the right side just under the pocket. Also the right side pocket has become unstitched and the left side looks as if it has just started to become unstitched. We included pictures for your approval. (Last 3 pictures) Please note we did not attempt to clean this item. As with all of our vintage items - we leave that to the buyer. The size says 14 - however keep in mind it is a vintage size 14. We are not clothing experts, but managed to take measurements off recommended sites. We used a standard ruler with the kimono laying flat. Chest: 18.5\" (x 2)
