1965 / 1966 Hofner 500/1 Violin Beatles Bass.

The \'Beatle\' bassis one of themostrecognisableand collectable bass guitars when it comes tovintage.Introduced in 1956, itcame to fame whenthe young Paul McCartney fell in love with one in Hamburg. Since then it has been a part of every decade and has never lost it\'s strikingappearance.

This is noexception to the rarityand build-quality of theseearly versions.

Neck: 22-Fret Bound Rosewood Fingerboard w/ Raised \'Hofner\' Logo.

Hardware: 2x Large Framed Staple Pickups, Cream Pearl Large Control Panel w/ Teacup Knobs. Short Tailpiece. Reissue Pearloid Pickguard. Pot stamps - 36 (3rd week of 1966).

Cosmetic Inspection

Brilliant, used condition.There is a small bit of wear to the front, as pictured, where theprevious owner would have played it. Please do bear in mind that this is a 46 year old guitar so it won\'t be like a guitar coming straightout of the shop but, for it\'s age, it\'s brilliant condition.

Originality

We\'ve inspected thisguitarthoroughly and we believe this is all original except the reissue pickguard. We\'ve included as manyphotographs as possible.

Had this been 3 weeks prior, it would be a 1965 Hofner 500/1 fetching double the asking price.
