Up for sale is a fabulous tin-litho toy tea set of Disney\'s \"Mary Poppins\" that Chein produced between 1965 and 1968. There is an assortment of illustrations on the saucers, plates and teapot, including images of Mary Poppins, umbrellas, carousals, houses, birds, trees and the name, Mary Poppins. All backgrounds are white. On the tray, on the other hand, Mary Poppins is seen on the left side, floating in the air, holding an umbrella in her left hand and her carpet bag in her right. She soars above rooftops lining the bottom of the tray. On the right side is a description, which reads, \"Cherry Tree Lane is unlike any other street in the world. If you should see a lady with a daisy in her hat carrying a huge carpet bag and an umbrella—watch carefully. If she opens her umbrella, you must might see her float high above the tree tops. For the lady just might be Mary Poppins, and Mary Poppins can do all kinds of marvelous magical tricks. In fact, she\'s set is in excellent--close to flawless--condition.Included in this sale are six pieces: two saucers, two plates, one one-piece teapot and one tray. The tray is marked, \"©MCMLXIV Walt Disney Productions,\" while one of the saucers is marked, \"©MCMLXV Walt Disney Productions.\" The tray is also marked \"Chein/Made in U.S.A.\" in the lower left corner.

CONDITION:Saucers: The saucers have some faint surface scratching, visible under bright light. One has a tiny amount of rim wear.Plates: There is a little rim wear on the plates.Teapot: There are some tiny flea bites and a few very small areas of paint loss on the litho. There is also a little rust along the bottom rim.Tray: There is some light surface scratching and a little paint loss on the red border.
