This is a vintage 8 string banjolin or mandolin-banjo. It needs some work to be made playable. Mainly the neck needs to be reset to make it playable. The is one nut missing from one of the numerous metal clasps around the circumference of the body. There is a screw missing in the metal piece holding down the tuners in the back, and there is a small chip in the wooden back. Also the strings are old and should be replaced. I do not see a makers name. The instrument measures about 23\" long.
