Up for sale is a beautiful vintage transit survey scale. I am pretty sure this is an astronomical survey scale but I am not entirely sure. Everything appears to be in excellent condition. There is some paint loss here and there on the brass which you can see in the photos. There is a small chip in the metal on part of the front of the lens. It is where the front end of the lens screws off and meets the main body of the scope. It is small and can\'t really be seen when it is screwed on since it faces the bottom. It does not effect the front of the lens being screwed on or off at all. The lenses look clean and clear. The fluid in the levels is yellow I am guessing from age. The compass says Chupe-Mexico on it, then Japan at the bottom. I haven\'t found anything on Chupe-Mexico online so I am thinking that was the company that owned it. I can\'t find any brand markings on it, but it does look a whole lot like a few Schneider scopes that I found pictures of which were also made in Japan. It stands about 13.5\" tall and 10\" wide on the scope. Comes with the wood base but no box. If you have any questions I will try to answer.
