This particular sale is fora VERY OLD Vintage Brass and Iron Transit Level by Bostrom-Brady Manufacturing out of Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

I am a woman and a novice and don\'t knowmuch about this sort of thing at all. :) I just thought it was very unique and old! It almost looks nautical. I was told it is a survey level for contractors and/or farms, etc.

When I look at my light bulb through the scope I can see that itenlarges it and brings it intofocus as you turn theknob on the top. Some of the other knobs appear to be loose where others are very tight and I, personally, can\'t make them move. They probably need lubricating and need to be cleaned up. I will leave this to the new owner\'s discretion and am selling it as I found it at the estate sale. Comes with original wooden box. Bottom of box is in good condition, but the lid is broken, as you can see in the photos.

Sold as a NOVELTY item only. I\'m not sure how well it works, so offer accordingly.
