Up for sale is a rare flute by Carl Fischer, the famous NYC music publisher. Most of the flutes they sold were made by Rittershausen, but this one is marked \"made in usa\" so I\'m just not sure. Certain features are very German, like the crown and the footjoint, but there were plenty of Germans building in America at this time too. The flute dates from early in the 20th century. It is plated nickel-silver of some sort.This flute will require a full restoration to be playable. It\'s not a professional level flute, but still a really interesting historical document of turn-of-the-century American flute-making.Please study the photos and ask any questions. Because this is unrestored, I can only accept returns if I\'ve made a real error in my description. I will be listing many more flutes in the coming weeks.
