This is a Carl Zeiss Jena professional microscope made sometime in the 1920\'s or 30\'s. It is not a toy but was and still is a serious piece of equipment. The lenses are all Zeiss lenses with magnifications from 8 to 40 to 125. Serial number on the body is Nr. 220011. Each of the three lenses also have serial numbers -53626 on the HI 90 1.25 lens, 72986 on the 40 0.65 0.17 lens and 79764 on the 8 0.20 lens - as well as the CARL ZEISS JENA mark. The 10X eyepiece is marked GERMANY and also has the CARL ZEISS JENA mark.
