Original Enid Collins hand-painted wooden box pursemade in Texas, USAblonde wood, natural finish, with hand-painted art & applied rhinestones
Circa 1960s - over 50 years old,- - original and unrestored
With hand painted flowers and a mouse, and applied colorful rhinestone jewels
With \"mini\" in the bottom left corner, this particular purse design is whimsically named \"Mini Mouse\" and in the inside of the purse is the makers mark \"Enid Collins.\" And on the inside of the lid is a mirror. Box purse is solid wood, and handle is a vintage plastic (celluloid? Bakelite?). Clasp and hinges are brass. This is in very good condition! Excellent Functional condition and very good cosmetic condition. All applied rhinestones and paint as well as all metal clasps & hinges, and handle are complete and in excellent condition. The wood itself shows wear and patina consistent with its age (over 50 years old!) and normal to light usage. This is a real jewel from the sixties! Highly collectible and hard to find in such wonderful condition! I have also not yet found another of this particular style for sale or at all - this might be a one-off, or at least a very rare model!
