Hereis the highly regarded and rarely seen cased American maderhodium-platedExecutive safety razor set. This razor set was released just after WWII, and was really only manufactured for two years: 1949 & 1950. This is the only rhodium plated USA manufactured Gillette razor, and is a distant cousin to the British made rhodium-plated Aristocrat Gillette razor sets. And this is the only Gillette set with the distinctive faux ostrich leather case, with the attached mirror and unusually packaged blades -- in this case they are totally unused new blades.

The razor feels great in the hand, with great knurling on the handle.and is a very effective closed guard shaver.Everything about the set is great, excepting the unfortunate glue stain on the mirror, a flaw commonly seen on these mirros due to an inferior type of glue used by Gillette to affix the mirror to its easel holder.

The Gillette Executive was designed around the same time of the Gillette President model and a number of other relatively high end razors, but this is the classiest high end model made by the US Gillette commpany.
