VINTAGE 1920\'S HUBLEY CONESTOGA WAGON with 2-HORSE TEAM. This land ship was built to carry a child\'s imagination to the far country of Adventure, whether hauling 6 tons of freight to Montgomery Ward or trekking west on the Oregon Trail. If dropped on a toe, it would also teach physics lessons about how (Mass) X (Velocity) = Pain. Once, this piece was fitted with a canvas cover. The slots for the bows are present, but the bows and cover are long gone. They would be easy to replace. Also missing is the rivet that once held the horses to the wagon tongue. This has been replaced with a twisted wire, also easy to fix. This is a bona fide antique, NOT a reproduction. The Hubley company made cast iron toys from 1909 to the late 1930\'s. I have seen reproductions made recently in China. This is not one of them.I provide clear descriptions and pictures that revealflaws as well as good points.
