This is a pretty vintage Madame Alexander doll called Elise that was made in the mid fifties. She stands about 15 1/2\" tall. She is dressed in her original tagged pink net outfit. She has on her gown, petticoat, panties, shoes and hose. They are not her original shoes because when I purchased her she did not have any on. Her arms are two piece vinyl. The rest of her body is hard plastic and is in good condition with no cracks or problems that I can see. She has a very pretty face with eyes that close just fine. It is slightly yellowed. No missing eyelashes. Her eyes open and close just fine. She has been restrung with cord, not rubber bands so her arms, head and legs are nice and tight. Her elbows, knees and ankles are jointed. Her shiny blonde hair is in its original set. Her dress is made of a soft pink net and does show some shelf wear. Mainly, it tends to curl up on the edge. I see no tears or stains. Her full petticoat is made of a soft sheer fabric with a net underlay to make the dress stand out. It is stretched out in the waist. She has on replacement shoes and replacement heart shaped earrings. She is just a beautiful doll on display. She has been displayed in a glass cabinet in a smoke free home. PLEASE NOTE: In response to a few questions about her face I have uploaded a new picture. Her eyebrows have faded but lipstick is nice and bright. Eyelashes are great. I have not treated her face in any way. It does have some slight yellowing from age but many Elise dolls are like this. I have several more that have done this. Remember she is over 50 years old. I could repaint her eyebrows because I have restored many dolls but thought that she should be left original.
