Up for offer is a wonderful estate find, a vintage straight leg walker Alexander Kins doll, Jo from the Little Women series. Jo is shown on page 157 of Patricia Smith\'s \"World of Alexander-kins\" book and is from 1955. These early Little Women dolls are difficult to find, especially in this condition! Jo does not appear to have ever been undressed, and she still has her original hang tag. The hang tag has one little crease at one corner and a couple of very little light brown spots on the inside and back, but overall it is still pretty nice. She has a beautiful face and her eyes flutter open and closed easily. Her wig is in nice condition and she has her original hair ribbon, though it is a bit orange in color and one end is a bit frayed. Her walking mechanism works okay, but her legs feel a little loose. She is wearing her original slip and bloomers, and her red taffeta dress has the Madame Alexander tag. Her fuzzy soled shoes and socks are in nice condition. There is one spot at the waistband of the dress in the front where there is a little fraying of the fabric (a small seam separation perhaps), and the ends of the black velvet ribbons do show a bit of fraying as well. Please take a close look at the many photographs for the best idea of the doll, her outfit, and their condition. Overall this doll is in wonderful, unplayed with condition and she will make a great addition to any collection!
