Hello and thanks for looking at our sales this week...offered this evening is a vintageracing checkeredFlag with the red Mobil Pegasus in the center. The Flag measures just under 36\" x36\"and is in very good condition overall but does have some yellowing due to age especially on the white squares on the edge attached to the pole.There is a small tear at the top where the Flag is attached to the pole and another small hole on the edge of the Flag that is attached to the pole (both of these minor flaws are shown in close up detailed photos above. The Flag is attached to a woodenpole with staples. Thepole is warped and the end appears broken.
We\'re not sure of the Flag\'s origins, but we were told it was used during one of the Mobil Economy Runs during the 1950\'s.
During the length of this listing theFlag may be seen at galaxie 13 which is located at 436 Main Street, Beacon NY 12508. Store hours are Monday, Thursday andFriday 11:30am until 5:30pm. Saturdays and Sundays 11:00am until 6:30pm. Phone number is 845-202-7272.
