This piece is a Collins US AEF US Army Engineers Bolo/Machete, 3rd pattern, in use from the late 1890\'s thru the late 1920\'s. Steel ferrule , 3-rivet wood handle. Pre WWI era. Blade measures approx. 15 1/4\" X 5\". Sheath is pretty much destroyed maybe some history here, no research. No damage to the blade other than maybe some discoloration.
