Vintage Old Leather Saddle Bags Cowboy Tack Horse Western Equestrian Gear Decor:

This is an awesome vintage saddle bag that was purchased at an East Tennessee Estate sale. The Estate was of a 94 year old man and this was believed to belong to his father according to the family and may have been his grandfathers. The bag is made of leather and covered on the outside pocket with the actual cow hair. Everything is sewn by hand. There are no rips or tears. There is some aging along the top of the bags where the hair is.I believe this is were the saddle rubbed. You can see the wear in the pictures. I found a piece of paper in there dated 1937. The bags have a W design that leads to a buckle on each side. The bag itself needs cleaning. There is still horse sweat on the leather. I am no expert and will not attempt to clean it.
