This is a 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) OriginalPhotograph shot of the famous statue titled \"The End of the Trail\". Themagnificent statue was sculpted by James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) noted american artist, whoalso did the Buffalo Head Nickel design. The 17 foot tall statue was placed in the Court of Palms at the entrance to the Expo where it was greeted by 19 million visitors. The powerful message resonated to the public and tacitly spoke of the transformation of a proud, spiritual people to captures of a alien and unaccepting culture. Fraser won a Gold Medal for his work.
