These Vintage Paper Mache ABELARDO RUIZ Cat & Lady W/Crown Mexico Folk Art Figures are in good condition but do have minor issues. The 9 1/2\" tall cat has a teeny paint peel below his mouth and a larger 1/4\" peel on the bottom back of his head. Both of these figures look like they might benefit from a good cleaning, but the dark spots might be artist colors (for character). The cat is signed PAPIER MACHE DE ABELARDO RUIZ MEXICO. The 10\" tall Lady with a crown is not signed (probaly because the bottom is painted black) but is probably by RUIZ or SERMEL. She features alot of rope detail and is very bright. There is a crack half way around her neck but the rope has secured her head. She has a 3/8\" paint peel on the side of one eye. She may be a candleholder but she does not have any evidence that this was her purpose. Shipping weight is 2# from 91723 for USPS Priority.
