Antique Powder Music Box Gray Metal with Bronzed Knob on top and Claw Feet. There is a mirror on the underside of the lid. The music box still plays. I am pretty sure the song is \"My Old Kentucky Home\", which became the official state song of Kentucky in 1928 and is played and sung every year at the Kentucky Derby. The winding key is stiff and might benefit from lubrication. I have not attempted to do this. The original metal patina does have oxidation and wear as I have tried to show in my photos. The buyer might want to clean it appropriately, but I have not done so. I think that this is a very old music box. There is a patent number on the bottom of the music box. The music box measures 5\" in diameter at the base ; 3 1/2\" in diameter at the top of the powder well ; 4 1/2\" in diameter at the top ; 3 3/4\" in diameter at the mirror area ; and about 5\" in height including the knob on top. From my private music powder box collection accumulated lovingly over many, many years. I must downsize now, and I am searching for loving homes for my collection. Music box comes from a smoke-free home. I combine shipping for multiple current listings purchased together whenever possible.
