Vintage RevereWare 1946-1968Collectible Vintage Revere WareCopper Maid pot and pan, both with its original lid.Made in the USA.The “Made Under Process Patent” markingsindicate that was made between 1946-1968, and per family lore they are probablyfrom the late 1940s. Why is this dateimportant? During this time Reverewareused an electroplating process to apply the thick copper bottoms that resultedin even heat distribution and kept food from burning. In 1968 they changed the process and reducedthe amount of copper by 50%, even though you can’t see thedifference. The quality of the cookwaredeclined after 1968, so you can no longer buy this high quality item in stores.
