Vintage Stanley Bailey No. 4C Smooth Plane, Corrugated Bottom, TYPE 11, 1910-18.All moving parts operate smoothly. The original black japanning on the plane isabout 80-90% remaining.The low front knobis in good condition withminimal nicks and scratches as is thetote. The screw holding the front knob seems a slight too long.The bottomis in good condition.The smooth lever cap is in good condition with the\'straight- shaped\' slot. The blade is stampedwith the \'V\' marking:STANLEY, NEW BRITAIN, CONN U.S.A. (1912-1918).The cutter adjustment knob is 1\" diameter.There are nocracks, breaks, or welds in the metal parts of this plane. There is a knick in the cutter edge which will have to be ground/sharpened out.
