WS Darley Light

Vintage WS Darley of Chicago, Illinois, 4-way traffic signal light No. WSD-5. This light is from the now closed Firestone Tire & Rubber plant in Decatur, Illinois. The plant was built in 1942 by Caterpillar Tractor Company to make tanks for WWII. It\'s wired straight to the bulbs so all of the lights work all the time, (as shown in the pictures), but there\'s some kind of mechanism on the inside that looks like it\'s original. I have no idea what it\'s used for. When I bought it at the plant closing out sale it just had two wires coming out and I put a plug on it and it worked as pictured.

There was only one lens in it when I bought it so I bought (4) new red glass lenses. I\'ll include the plastic lens that was in it. The hanger on the top was made by Anderson and used to hang the light in the middle of an intersection on the inside of the plant to control forklift traffic.

Because of the size and weight this may be picked up in Decatur, Illinois, but I will ship it. The shipping will be quite high because of the weight of the packaging to safely ship it.
