This is a vintage piecework quilt top in the Nine Patch pattern that was done by my mother. It was probably finished circa 1980 before Parkinson\'s Disease stopped her from doing the quilting that she loved. It has been in a bureau drawer all this time. The quilt was made before rotary cutters were popular so each piece was cut a few at a time utilizing a cardboard pattern. Multiple colors on a creamy white cotton background. All points and corners meticulously matched up. No stains except one where it looks like she pricked her finger--no doubt will wash out when first laundered. She always made her quilts bedspread sized so this would work as a bedspread for a full size bed. Easily be a bed quilt/comforter for a queen size bed (possibly add more border) or extended to a king. It currently measures 88 x 100 inches. She has done one row of multiple color material border squares--more could be added. Many hours of work have gone into the making of the quilt.
