Each of these little house has exquisite detail. Whoever made these was very creative. They are relatively light-weight so the interior may be cardboard, or balsa wood, but the exterior has painstaking detail. The sides of the house are covered with various bark including birch bark. The little windows and doors have tiny, twig trim and the chimneys are made of pieces of cork. The roofs and chimney caps are covered with a painted on snow that has a great texture creating the illusion of depth like that of melting snow.
The styling lead me to believe that these were probably made in the 50\'s and US made. They remind me of the little houses that went with my train set when I was a child in this era.
Approximate size of each house is about 3 inches long and about 3.5\" tall.
All are in great condition with nothing broken, or missing, that I can detect. This is truly a fabulous find that will make a great addition to your holiday decorating, o a much cherished gift.
