Vintage1970s novelty kitchen appliance, a working electric Sunbeam “Coney Island Frank‘N Bun” hot dog steamer shaped and sized for single hot dog, with graphics of Coney Island’s famous Cyclone roller coaster on the side. Hot dog rests on metalsteam tray above reservoir of water that heats when appliance is pluggedinto electric outlet. Faux-bakelite plastic steamer with protective feet for counter use, ventedplastic safety lid to let steam escape, and two-prong 34” electric cord. Decorative gold-toned product plate onside of steamer is faux-metal laminated plastic. Steamer unit measures 7\" L x 2\" W x 2.5\" H, with a 1.5\" H vented lid. Metal steamer tray measures 5\" x 1-7/8\". Made bySunbeam Corp., Cat. #19-29, Serv. #19-2B. Cute little gadget, perfect for the single cook or use inbachelor pad.

Not testedto cook hot dogs, but I tested this to heat water, and this little gadget heatsup fast! Less that twominutes after plugging the steamer into an outlet, the water was at a rolling boil and steamcondensation covered the inside of the vented plastic lid. Based on the test, this would probablywork very efficiently to cook hot dogs.

Well-made small appliance in excellent condition. Steamer and cord are very clean with no damage or exterior wear. Just some light spotted tarnish on underside of metal steamer plate and some pitting to interior plastic frompast use. No on/off switch;steamer starts when plugged in, stops when unplugged.
