The base is marked with the circular half kiln stamped seal of "WELLER POTTERY" and "Y1" artist or decorator mark. The unusual aspect about this Weller piece is that the decoration is raised poppies and butterflies on each vase side. This old Weller art pottery handled vase is in wonderful condition with outstandingcolorsin the decoration of fine hand painted poppies leaves on this piece of fine art pottery. The glaze is a satin finish, which is typical of this Weller, designed vase made in Zanesville, Ohio back in the 1920's period. The Silvertone vase has NO hairlines, NO cracks, and in wonderful original condition.
