The base is marked with the Wellerimpressedmark under the glaze on this hand painted fine Weller Lobster flower frog. Naturalistic matte green and bronze colours. This old Weller 3 3/8\" wide by 5 3/4\"long by 1 1/2\" tall 8 hole flower frog in wonderful original condition with outstanding colours with a high degree of SHARP mold detail on this piece of American art pottery. The design is a wonderful mold design. The flower frogdepicts a lobster, with very nice details.Weller produced a line of sea creatures,a star fish,a crab, and a lobster. The surface is very textural, with great details and the colors are striking! Thisflower frogis wellmarked, andguaranteed to be vintage Weller Pottery from the 1920s. Theglaze is a matte finish typical of this Weller pattern design.
