LARGE VAN BRIGGLE \"DESPONDENCY\" VASE. What a beautiful piece of pottery in excellent condition; free of any chips, hairlines or flakes. We have owned this for many years and purchased it new direct from Van Briggle sometime in the 1980s if memory serves correctly. It took several weeks to receive and when following up on the shipping status, we were told they lose 2 out of every three of this large vase in the manufacturing process. We do not recall the description of the glaze color at the time but we noted a different Van Briggle Piece that is presently on with what appears to be the same glaze and the called it \"a dusty rose with blue overspray\". That seems to be a pretty accurate description. That Vase stand about 16-1/4 inches tall to the highest point and is roughly 7-3/4 inches across at the widest point. It alsohas anice heavy weight. A beautiful addition to anyVan Brigglecollection!
