This is an original WW2 Japanese Military issued DUST COVER for their Type 99 Arisaka rifle. It also fits on their type 38 carbine as well as their type 44 carbine. I know because i test fit it on all 3 different rifles personally. It worked smoothly and easily on all 3 types. This cover is made out of blued steel and it has a serial number stamped on the rear flat. Condition is very good with some light rust, and the original blued finish has turned mostly brown from age. One of the tabs that rides in the receiver grooves has a small bend in it, but it does not affect proper functionality at all. There are no cracks, dents, dings, or any other damge. Guaranteed original WW2 Japanese Military issued and definately not a reproduction.
