Here is a beautifully restored early 1900\'s WESTERN UNION Call Box Wall Telephonefrom Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. This is not a replica \"W.U. TEL. CO.\" Call Box and has been professionally refurbished into working condition.The Telephone Box is made of cast aluminum and has a \"black\" powder coated finish (baked on enamel). The \"silver\" lettering was professionally hand painted. The very unusual \"nickel platted\" handset was manufactured by the Western Electric Company with patent dates from 1906 until 1909. An original bakelite Western Electric candlestick telephone type Mouth Piece (with star in center) screws onto the handsets transmitter. A black cloth covered handset cord connects the handset to the Western Union Call Box.

The modern day phone components are located inside the Western Union Call Box featuring \"Touch Tone\" Telephone Service. This Western Union Call Boxhas been converted for use on today\'s telephone system.Please note, A \"VOIP\" voice over internet protocol telephone system such as available through Vonage or other internet carriers may require a converter not provided in this sale.
