this is a wwi bolo it is marked us 1917 on one side of blade and kiffe ny on the other is not marked japan and does not have plastic grips but has bakelite grips. i read about a kiffe bolo that was made in japan with plastic handles , i dont think this is that one as it has no japan mark and grips are old and made of black bakelite. i know the experts out there can sort this out for me as i know a little but am far from a expert. look at photos and offer
