WWI US issue, model 1917 bolo fighting knife. Designed for machine gunners to help clear lanes of fire. Heavy blade, also small enough for defense. Length is 14 3/4\" w/the blade just over 10\". Excellent condition, minor finish wear, NO sharpening or nicks at all, no rust or pitting. markings as shown. Guard is tight w/slight bends. Walnut grips have vertical scoring. Finish on the pommel is good. Original canvas over hide covered wood scabbard. Some wear, markings are mostly worn, but it\'s Brauer 1918. Very nice original knife, about 100 years old now.
