An interesting and nice heavy wool jacket. A parachutist badge for the 82nd airborne 307th engineers is over the left pocket. This is an appropriate badge for the unit although it looks to be a newer, possibly Vietnam era replacement. The fourragere is appropriate for company B of the 307th engineers as they won 2 French Crosses of honor in WWII (St. . The fourragere is appropriate with the parachutist badge for this unit.. A replacement and school command is on the shoulder and a Machine gunner medal is on the front of the uniform.It is overall a very nice uniform in a 42 XL. W-9237 is written in the neck. I do not know if that can be tied back to a record in the 82nd airborne.
This would be great if the Parachutist badge was period. I do not have the history of the uniform except it was picked with 4 others of similar condition.
