This listing is for a Yamaha CR-2040 Vintage Receiver. Recently Serviced - New Lamps - Cleaned Pots and Fully Tested.
Condition:
The Front panel is in near mint condition. The wood veneer case is in excellent condition for its age. Edges and corners are sharp. A few small scratches were touched up. There are light surface scratches on the top (see picture but not easy to see).
One of the three AC Outlets on the rear panel is cracked but functional. See close-up picture.
The meter lamps and the FM dial lamp were replaced. The 4 backlight lamps were working so they were not replaced. New lamps will be included for future replacement (see photo).
All pots and switched were cleaned with Deoxit. All inputs and functions were tested including the very nice phono input that takes both moving coil and moving magnet phono cartridges.
This unit is HEAVY and will go to a professional packing & shipping company. The Receiver will also be insured.
The CR-2040 has accurately matched performance specifications and controls which give an overall performance which fully measures up with Yamaha\'s high tuner, pre and power amplifier standards.
The basic concept behind the design of the audio section includes an extremely high output power rating at which both noise and distortion are extremely low.
A very wide dynamic range is achieved.
Using direct assessment of differential gain enables the tuner to combine high-sensitivity with razor sharp tuning selectivity and ultra-low distortion in the tuner section.
