Since my first band saw is a corded Milwaukee of high work horse quality, I figured the M28 would be a good addition since I'm not always near an electrical plug. The portable has proven to be another solid work horse in my stable. Yes, the battery will sometimes run out in the middle of a job, but it has cut everything I have challenged it with, and the 28 volt batteries stand up better for me than the 18 volt ones. One of the above questions: Is it a good value? Absolutely, especially since I purchased it for just over $200 with free shipping. It would still have been a good value given the average price I am seeing on Ebay. And yes, I would buy it again. It would be hard to choose between the battery and corded models if I didn't either one. Both have a lot going for them. WB
