I find this simple set to be actually faster for reloading brass that is already the proper size, such as once fired brass. if you are a weekend reloader, or someone who collects their own once fired brass for reloading, this is a much more economical way to reload that buying a set of dies as well as a single stage press. It is less than half the cost and does the same thing. I would tell anyone who is new to reloading to start with this set. I was able to reload 40 rounds in less than 45 minutes. I would do this again every time. A great buy!

When I first got this it looked like it was of made pretty good. But upon use it was marginal, the primer cup holder (washer) came loose and wants to fall completely out. And the base that the primer sits on apparently has some springs under it to give cushion to the primer. Thats fine but it doesn't go up and down evenly when installing a primer. Between the cup holder and the base it often results in a primer being installed at a angle. The primer decapper rod rolled off my bench and hit the floor just right and the tip broke. Seems like it should be made of good enough material that it could withstand a fall like that.

The lee classic loader is a great product for people wanting to try their hand at reloading without going to the poor house in the process. I have one in 223 rem and 7.62x54R and they both work great. I get nice consistent loads every time. They are packaged in a convenient plastic case that is small and does not take up your entire bench/work table. Keep in mind you are not going to load a bunch of rounds in a short time, but it WILL load rounds. It's not needed but I do recommend the lee primer pocket cleaner and the lee dipper set just to make life easier. I will and have recommended this friends and family alike and if you are thinking about getting one, go ahead I assure you will not regret it.

Got this kit to try my hand at reloading to see if it's worth the time. The kit is put together very nicely. Just removing the spent primers averages about 10-12 per minute. The rest of the assembly procedure takes a little longer, but it allows you to pay attention to consistency. No need to spend $200 on a kit that does the same thing only twice as fast until you know you're ready for it. Overall, very satisfied.

I've bought a couple of these for very precise loading in my main hunting calibers. They are slower than a press, but does a better job than a press and are easy to use. The only negative is that they only resize the neck so you don't want this if you are going to do AR rounds.
