If you are looking for a nice, quiet practice amp, this will do nicely. If you are hoping for something that you can also use in a small performance venue, this is not it. Keep in mind it has limited power. The four little speakers sound good at low volume, but deteriorate quickly at higher volumes or bass levels. That said, it is another slick Roland product with good quality and design.

I heard about this little practice amp from a Youtube video.I have a Hog Pignose practice amp that doesnt have any of the features that this Roland has (and the rechargable batteries wouldnt charge any longer) The Roland amp has many digital settings such as, acoustic simulator,JC clean, "Brit combo",classical, heavy metal, delay, reverb, flanger, phazer, and also a drum rhythem feature w/thirty different drum patterns. For being only five watts, it kicks.Check it out on Youtube. I was really impressed and I got lucky and won it at a hundred dollars less than what it sells for.I reccommend it,but like its made for, only a practice amp, not for stage gigs, although it might serve the purpace.Buy it, you wont regret it.
This little amp makes for a great practice amp. It fits on top of a desk, table, book case etc, weighs nothing and its portable (6 AA))! Has a headphone jack, multiple amp modeling, and a built in rythym section with multiple styles of drum & guitar and tempo variations! Built in tuner comes in handy when the battery poops out on your clip on tuner! We recently did an outdoor gig with guitars and bass on Micro Cubes and people were dancing! So they must have heard us! lol

A bit heavier and larger than the Roland Microcube, but it sounds so much better. Not as heavy as you might expect, and easily carried in one hand with the carry strap. One hand for the bass, one for the amp. Only uses 6 AA batteries plus comes with AC adapter. If you want portability, battery operation, and a real bass amplifier, then this is a good one to consider. Highly recommend.

I purchased this amp for a convenient practice amp that doesn't tether me to my studio. I love the fact that this little guy has some pretty big sound coming from double A batteries!!! The effects and modeling amps are a lot of fun, that has actually resulted in me trying to replicate those sounds on my gigging amp, never would have expected that. If you are looking for a highly portable bass amp, this is next to impossible to beat. I would recommend the Roland Micro Cube to any musician from beginner to professional.
