At 180 watts no other acoustic amp can punch harder. I don't think the reverb is top rated but at volume nobody can tell anyway. The tone controls are purposefully not extreme because the flat voicing is well engineered . The mic channel works well enough and has phanthom voltage switch. I recommend a high-quality condenser mic for vocals. This amp should compete nicely at stage volumes. All acoustic amps should face off axis or away from performer to avoid feedback at volume and sound hole cover to keep other instruments from modulating your guitar. .

I'm playing a 5 string fiddle through it and it has plenty of bottom and still retains the highs. It took a little tweaking to get what I wanted out of it but it's really starting to come together. Using a stomp box reverb as the on-board effects are a little weak, but playing in Nashville honky-tonks it has plenty of power and has yet to distort or break up at high volume. Also light and easy to load, unload and set up on small band stands.

I have two fender acoustic guitar amps, an Acoustasonic SFX which isn't bad, and a 150 [save your money, all $500] which I thought would be accurate for my McPhearson and Gibson acoustics. My Vibrolux does a better job and I think my Twin is almost as good. So much for Fender Acoustic amps. [I own several for electric and swear by them] I heard some one play through the Loudbox Performer and I had a good conversation with him after his gig. I decided to buy one and use my LR Baggs Venue with it as I did with my Vibrolux, only to discover that the Venue was not necessary. I know that I once said I wouldn't play without the Venue, but it is not necessary except for fine tuning. This amp is the real deal and can be run through the house system just like most of the better acoustic amps. I have four different acoustics with active electronics, all of which have Fishman products including a Morgan Monroe 00 that I put a Fishman Rare Earth in. I am pleased as well as impressed. I have not played through any other Fishman amps but I would venture to guess that they are just as impressive as the Loudbox Performer. Don't mess around, just buy the real thing and you will be pleased.Read full review

I'm loving this amp! Lightweight and delivers fantastic acoustic sound. I use a variety of pickups through it: an LR Baggs M1 active and Lyric with wonderful clean reproduction. I also use it with my Epihone Deluxe with a Slimbucker...it sounds fabulous. I haven't felt the need for a preamp and for larger rooms, I like the direct out right into the house PA. Got a great deal and a one year warranty, saved hundreds from the local price.

Fishman really nailed it with this model. I use it with a Schatten Banjo pickup. The sound is real and the mid range speaker picks up the banjo in a natural way. I also noticed the volume difference between this model and the Artist and vocals also flourish with the additional mid range speaker. Five stars!
