I purchased this controller because I wanted to be more dynamic in the type of music that I play without always having to mess with my laptop. This controller gives me the freedom to do that. I can be playing four different pad sounds on top of each other and mix the effects and their volumes at the SAME TIME. That is what sold me on this hardware. As far as pros and cons go, the pros are pretty obvious...it is lightweight, it has 61 keys so it fits on my workstation desk snugly (which in my mind is perfect) and the keys have great sensitivity. For the cons, there is no master volume fader on the controller, which isn't a huge deal, but I'm used to that on any other keyboard, so I found it odd that it isn't on this model. Another small thing is sometimes I have to guess where to map the sliders and faders in my DAW, so there is a lot of trial and error involved. My last con is that there is no software that comes with the controller. My 88 key controller came with several VST plugins as well as Ableton Live 9 Lite, so I was disappointed that this came with nothing. That's unlike M-Audio to short a customer some freebies. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this controller, and I've already used it to play live and it had a phenomenal impact. I look forward to using this for many years to come!Read full review

This Midi controller from M-Audio is a very handy piece of equipment. The keys have a pretty good feel and the draw bars, buttons, and knobs are a very useful addition when using your favorite DAW. All of the moving parts of the keyboard feel pretty sturdy and I use it mainly as a practice board for when I don't want to take out my much larger 61-key Keyboard. This keyboard definitely gives you the most bang for your buck at such a reasonable price. I can't complain too much about this purchase. I hope this review is able to help someone, God Bless.
In my opinion, the Oxygen 61 is a fantastic choice for a MIDI controller. In addition to the keyboard itself, this device has plenty of knobs (eight), sliders (nine), and buttons, which are all assignable so you can trigger loops, tweak filter cutoff and resonance, control other VSTi parameters, or anything else you may like to do while recording digitally. Some of the ease of use will depend on which DAW software you're using, but as far as I can tell, the Oxygen 61 is compatible with nearly everything. The USB connection makes this item pretty much plug-n-play on most systems. The device is clean and attractive, the sliders and knobs are sturdy rubber and "just feel right" as you slide or turn them. Just the prefect amount of resistance, not too sticky and not too loose -- very satisfying. The keys are velocity sensitive. Unfortunately, they're not weighted and thus have that click-clack plastic feeling; but that is minor compared to all the advantages. All things considered, this is an excellent choice for MIDI keyboard controller. Worth the price.Read full review
Light, portable, and relatively compact, the M-Audio Oxygen 61 Key V3 USB MIDI Controller KEYBOARD handles the necessities of production life with style and ease. Along with it's simplified, yet professional approach to DAW integration, the comfortable not-'plasticky' keyboard feel, is also a big plus. Would definitely recommend as a reasonably inexpensive addition to any musician's live or production arsenal of keyboard controllers.

I plugged it and it is not turning on no signal at all and no LED lights I am really disappointed ... I probably have to fix it now which costs almost double the price of the keyboard itself :( !!
