I'm really impressed with these decapping pins! I finally broke the original pin from my lee die after many years of service. (Broke it while extracting a stuck case.) The major complaint I had about the original pin was it was hard to grip with the collet that lee uses on their die. I had to really crank it down to get the pin to stay put. These replacement pins have machining ridges in the upper portion that allow the collet to get a good grip on the pin. A great improvement in my opinion! I've done a few hundred cases with the replacement now, and I've got no complaints. Even better than the orig! And... what a price, plus I've got extra replacements. My vote- good buy!

quality material, very durable. I now thread the stems on these and use them as replacements in my Hornady and RCBS dies 223 dies because they are more durable (less soft metal and a more durable design) get you a die and die wrench and try it!

When that decapping pin at last wears out and breaks, a replacement rod is all that will allow you to continue using your set of dies in any reasonably convenient way. The expander is essential for bringing the neck diameter to a good fit against the bullet. Not only a "good product", but an essential one for reloading these cartridges. It is good to keep a few extras on hand, in order not to wait for a replacement.

It was a perfect match for de-priming die. Installed relatively easy and was back to full use in no time.

Pins are as described, however, I broke 2 of them the first day!!! Shipping was VERY FAST!!! I should be more specific about pins breaking. I was decapping 5.56 brass and a lot of them were military with crimped primers. On 223 and regular 5.56 brass they worked fine. Somebody needs to make/come up with an unbreakable expander pin!!!
