Great price point. Not a huge sweep but great for a cover band that only uses an envelope filter once in a while. Small foot print is nice. Alters tone but not in a bad way. I use it for some Fruciante sounds and funk rhythms. Probably not the best auto wah for someone who uses that effect a lot. I am in a modern pop/rock/country cover band and find it handy but don't use it a ton. I leave the bass switch on. It sounds great on my AC15 Custom. Vintage EHX sound. If you like the small clone/stone and that tone tweak, you'll like this little guy.
It's a cool little box but not very flexible... if you need a generic auto-wah, it's a budget friendly choice. If you're look for a certain sound, you'll need to look to a more expensive unit with more flexible control options. Well put together and my experience with newer EH pedals has been nothing but positive.
This pedal is compact which can fit any pedalboard. The range of the pedal varies. Turn on the bass and you can't hear it very well and have to turn up your amp, turn off the bass and the range, or "q" is too much. Runs on 9V or AC adapter. Electro Harmonix makes great pedals and they last a long time.
Obviously it is not the greatest auto wah out there. its originally 53 dollars... what is good about it is.. it's 53 dollars. it has a smaller footprint than a regular wah pedal. really small. you have to get used to using a envelope filter if you havent use one before or switched from a foot control wah pedal. sounds good.
Great sounding unit highly reccomend
