This Chicken Bucket is great for making fried chicken. It's easy to set up, use, and clean. The one limitation was the fact this is aluminum, and would not work alone on my induction cooktop. I had to purchase an interface disk, which worked but was slow to heat the pot. I feel that this product is best suited to gas or regular electric stoves, not induction.

When I got the chicken bucket, it was missing the gasket seal. You can't pressurize it completely without the seal. When I bought it by the description, it said, "Works great!" It can't work great without making a complete seal. It costs as much as the Chicken Bucket to buy a seal.

Little scary at first.... when putting chicken slowly into the hot 350 deg oil on stove, but the chicken cooked great and tasted great. Just follow instructions and you will be fine. Definitely DO NOT put oil above indicated line mark, possibly use less oil, as it will rise. Other thoughts, once you are at the 350 deg mark, just before putting the chicken (once piece at a time) into the hot oil, I would suggest you "turn off" the burner; add the chicken, put the lid back on and seal it, then turn the burner back on. Unfortunately, my stove has the burner controls on the top back side of the stove vs. low front knobs.... I turn my burner off just in case the oil suddenly bubbles up to high or might accidentally spill over til you get the lid on, so by turning on any flame or burner, you reduce the risk of a sudden oil fire. It also took me a little bit to put the lid on and get the knob turned tightly. Putting the lid on when it is hot is tricky with hot oil and heat coming up at you, so again, turn off the flame or electric burner first. Then turn on after the lid is sealed. Prior to cooking also... when the pot is cold, make sure to put some veggie oil on a napkin and wipe the rubber ring completely, then reinsert into lid. Read full review

When I originally purchased this, there was a recipe book and manual included in the picture. Naturally, I was expecting a booklet to come with the fryer, not just some copies of it and there are some upside down and not in order, very poorly done. Thank s is first time I’ve been disappointed in something I’ve ordered on eBay.
