I really like to have the option of adding acoustic sound to my electric guitar. The powerbridge makes that possible but without the help of a good preamp it has the same liitations that any piezo bridge has, a rather thin tinny sound but managable to a much better one with preamps. I have a LR Baggs DI/ EQ box for that purpose & it really is an improvement on the results though I still feel I can do better. I also have a couple of Godin LGX guitars with piezo bridges & buitl in preamps and they do a better job os simulating the acoustic part but it is less of a difference with the help of the DI/EQ box. I recommend this as a customization for those seeking to broaden the sound spectrum of their electric guitar by adding the clarity & presence of a piezo into the guitar sound.

This is the best upgrade I have ever given a guitar. The clean tones you can get from this are absolutely gorgeous. I had mine installed with a fishman powerchip as well (highly recommended) and the new sounds I have at my fingertips are amazing. Especially if you install it so that it can combine with your magnetic pickups you can get a really beautiful tone. I use this mainly blended with my single coil neck pickup for all my clean tones. If you do not have a tune o matic bridge, fishman makes other piezo powerbridges as well.
